Our Business development coaching for small groups allows us to coach small groups (3-6 attorneys) who create either individual or group business development plans.
Group coaching can be particularly beneficial for groups who are building a practice area or targeting a particular market together. It can also be an economic alternative to the One-on-One program for attorneys who are at approximately the same level of seniority and facing similar business development issues and opportunities. The interactive nature of the group session provides a dynamic environment that can be of benefit to group synergies.
Small group coaching generally includes a written plan component, created concurrently with the group coaching sessions. The sessions provide the foundation and necessary practical tools for the creation of the written individual or group business development plans. Regardless of whether a written component is chosen, the focus of the sessions is on implementation, action items, and practical skills. Topics are specific to group goals but would generally include:
- Client development initiatives
- Market analysis
- Target clients
- Personal or group branding
- Self- or group presentation elements
- Promotional strategies
During the small group coaching program, participants will learn the skills required to make the most of existing contacts and to assess and pursue designated new opportunities effectively. They will also learn systematic approaches to practice and client development that can save time and maximize efforts. And of course, we will help them stay abreast of current marketing information and trends that impact their areas.
Small Group Program Details: Business Development Coaching for Small Groups is comprised of ten sessions. After an initial one hour orientation session in which we discuss the group’s individual or combined goals, there are nine scheduled one hour coaching sessions. The program also includes unlimited short phone calls and e-mails during the coaching sessions.
Pricing: $2,800 per attorney (groups of 3-6)
Workshops
Our customized workshops are designed to meet law firm needs for larger groups. We have conducted workshops for partner retreats, for associate programs, for women attorneys, and for section meetings. Topics are customized to meet both firm objectives and the level of sophistication of the audience. Our workshops incorporate cutting edge information, and when possible, are structured to include interactive components and exercises for attendees. Workshop pricing is determined after initial consultation.
